Honey, like coconut oil, is one of those ingredients that (they say) has a cure for just about everything. That is why DIY-ing face masks with a simple combo of greek yogurt + honey or honey alone is not a crazy thing to do.
That said - I was shopping around Elements at Capsule a few months ago in New York when I came across R.L. Linden & Co - a Denver based beauty company and had to try what they call The Bee Charmer.
The Bee Charmer can either be used as a cleanser OR a mask and it is made primarily of two natural ingredientscacao + honey - giving it a delicious deep caramel color and making it tempting to put on ice cream (but don’t do that). It’s packed with antioxidants and uses poppy seeds as a gentle exfoliant. I let it sit on my face for about 10 minutes until my boyfriend walked in and I scared him until my skin had soaked in all of the moisturizing honey goodness before washing it off. This is a terrific way to wake up your skin for the New Year - detoxing and refreshing. Your skin will thank you.
